But what is a dream if not your thoughts and inner most desires
A place to be yourself and not a place for liars
Little boys dream of spaceships and cowboys
Little girls about ponies and flowers
He wants to be a hero,
She wants to be a princess.
The innocence of a dream is put to the test
This young man dreams of finding that special girl
The one who will raise his kids with the little blonde curls
A young woman wants to find true love, and raise a family of three
There she finds her fantasy and happiness is the key
Happiness is short-term in most forms of the word
So what is left in a dream if our happiness expires?
Our thoughts, our hopes and even inner most desires
The door is shaking with the lock about to break
The skeletons have emerged
It's over, you're done for, there's no place to hide
Out comes all this pain you've tried to mask deep down inside
The man dreams of the pain in his past
As he relives it all he is torn apart
She dreams of her man walking away
Leaving her in the past, like daddy did to mommy that day
They say these dreams you can try and dissect..
The hurt the fantasy and everything you protect
The memories and future and all that's in store
Until you've finally had enough and can take no more
A dream can be a memory
A place to get away
In the end we find eternal sleep
The dream becomes reality as we pass away
